turning tanginess into fashion

K2K’s award-winning recipe for Carnival design

Fruits, food, and Victorian flair. Skirts layered with apples and lemons. A pink-petaled dress poised like a poui in bloom. This is the world of K2K, “where fashion meets mas”.

K2K Alliance & Partners is an award-winning multi-media design house based in Trinidad and Tobago. Recognised for its artisanal craftsmanship, K2K combines costume design, fashion and theatre to create a runway experience on the streets of Port of Spain every Carnival. Some mas bands dabble in beads and feathers; K2K curates a sensory experience, rich with bold colours, diverse textures and stunning silhouettes. With wins in the medium-band category over the past nine years, including overall Band of the Year winner in 2019, K2K has found the perfect recipe for blending art, fashion and mas.
“Holy Trespasses” was the theme of their 2025 collection. In the collection, K2K toes the line between bitter and sweet, turning what they call the “tang-of-life” into something worthwhile. Each section – Appetizer, Main Course and Dessert – balances tantalising images with bold, Caribbean flair.

Think of the apple from the Garden of Eden expressed as a billowing dress, resplendent in its reds and yellows.
